Tradecraft was a full time, 12-week bootcamp program, which trained new professionals to fill traction roles at high-growth startups.
Overview
Professionals gained experience during the course of the program by working on projects for Silicon Valley companies.
The program was designed by industry-leading experts to ensure that professionals “graduate” with the depth and breadth of knowledge to make meaningful contributions from Day 1 at high-growth startups.
At time of writing (Feb 2018), Tradecraft offered courses in Sales & Business Development, Growth Marketing, Product Design and Engineering. Professionals worked with a large group of world-class mentors and a small group of inspiring peers.
why tradecraft
I wanted to make people’s lives easier with all the capabilities of design and technology (plus, it’s fun).
I became interested in design when I redesigned a sales hub site while at Chronicle Books as a sales assistant. I had to make it work for 100+ U.S. sales reps who relied heavily on this hub to keep up-to-date with Chronicle (while selling 2-15 other publishers).
Long story short, my manager gasped when she saw the site and said, “Wow this looks great!”, quickly promoting it in all emails onward. It was thrilling to start something that could support the small yet vital team for Chronicle Books, something that would stick around long after I left.
